I was raised in the southeast of Poland, in a very small village, surrounded by nature. I studied acting in Warsaw at the Acting School of Halina and Jan Machulskich, where I graduated. I participated in theatre plays, student shorts, and performances. Then I switched to visual arts and painting at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milan, where mostly I took part in student projects, and exhibits. The core of my practice is painting and video. I’m creating stories with abstract situations and forms.

I don’t care about rebel, brutal and shouting art. It creates a competition of ego and demand of ruling, which is far from art. In humans in general this fight between desire and feeling or reason is present and repeats itself. Between death and life or love. My art is a dawn, these colours, this intensity. There is a mystery hidden in the painting. Something above us. Understanding is overrated. The dichotomy between the delicacy of brushstrokes, the repetition of movements, the grid and the intention, cuts that are somehow vulgar, very intense in my paintings. The image becomes a wound or a scar, but the surface is not the body, it does not mean the same, it remains an abstraction, without forcing any meaning. Everything is poetic because it is self-defined, it is the simplest, deeply natural thing, in everyone. Something real, very material, interrupts the imaginary space. Some parts disappear and reappear, something is discovered, something is painted over, in a flash of new thought, then it returns in the model of the circle. I am not interested in simplicity, but more in complicated structures, chaos. In the artworks conscious situations, feelings and memories, surroundings, and politics are hidden, without pathos. I see in my paintings a certain theatricality, but subdued, as if ashamed of myself, only intuitive. The description of these works will never appear, that makes it so generous and generic. It’s an act of sharing, being emphatic.
